Born in Belarus in a family of artists Antonina Zharava chose to settle in Paris where she leads her concert and teacher activities.

 

In her international career, she has been inspired by great teachers in France and abroad: Philippe Muller, Leon Fleischer, Pamela Frank, Frans Helmerson, and Gary Hoffman.

 

Winner of international competitions - "Dr. Louis Sigall" in Chile (2006), "Young soloist", "FLAME" in France (2005), "Popper" in Hungary (2000), "Heran" in Czech Republic (1997), she occurs in France, Italy, the Netherlands, the United States, as well as in Eastern European countries.

 

She is also invited to many festivals around the world: Ravinia Festival in Chicago (USA), Festival Academy Verbier (Switzerland), The Rome Chamber Music Festival (Italy), Piatigorsky Cello Festival in Los Angeles and Heifetz Music Festival in Wolfeboro (United States).

 

Member-founder of Trio ARK, she has just recorded the CD "Escales" mixing traditional music and classical works.

 

Holder of the Certificate of Aptitude and the Public Service, Antonina Zharava teaches cello and chamber music at the Conservatories of the 6th and 13th arrondissements of Paris.
